HELLO THERE!
A letterbox is a special object: even though it's part of a house, it's often found at a distance from it. Standing guard at the premises, it is the first thing that greets visitors. They come in all shapes, sizes and colour, and are placed either on the lawn or even on the wall. Join me now and discover the amazing, never before seen world of letterboxes across the region of Cairns.
My name is Chubba Sreder, I am a graphic designer with an appreciation for style and a desire to present a different face of Cairns. During the previous months I have set to work with the intention of collecting the most unique letterboxes of our little tropical city. After travelling hundreds of kilometres on my pushbike (from Palm Cove all the way down to Gordonvale) and taking heaps of photos in the process, it is time to share Cairns' best 365 letterboxes with you.
In 2012 you can see a new photo of a letterbox every day throughout the whole year. If you feel interested, check back every day and join the 365CAIRNS project on Facebook or Twitter! If you know or come across an interesting letterbox, please take a picture of it and send it to me!
